Windshield replacements have quietly become one of the most expensive routine repairs on a modern vehicle. A bare-glass replacement on a 2010 sedan was a couple hundred dollars. The same job on a 2024 SUV with forward cameras, rain sensors, lane-keep assist, and a heads-up display routinely runs $1,500–$3,000 — and that's before the mandatory ADAS recalibration that has to happen after the glass comes off.

ExoShield GT3+ is a clear, optically tuned PET film with a proprietary nanoceramic hardcoat. It bonds to the outside of your existing windshield and absorbs the impact energy from rock chips, gravel, and road debris that would otherwise crack the glass underneath. Independent impact testing shows 6X the resistance of bare glass — at 91.5% visible light transmittance, with no distortion, haze, or refractive artifacts.

Installation takes about 60 minutes on most vehicles. We clean and decontaminate the glass, cut the film from a vehicle-specific pattern, wet-install with a slip solution, squeegee every micron of fluid out, and heat-set the edges. When the film eventually reaches end of life — typically in 2–3 years of daily driving — it peels off cleanly and a new layer goes on over the same OEM glass.
